BELL ALLEY PRETZELS
Fresh soft pretzels from a Reading institution, baked in a coal-fired brick oven on Bell Alley off Laurel Street.
A small, family-owned farm. All products grown in a natural and pesticide-free manner. They process their own grain into flour and produce canned goods with their own products. Brooke-Lee Farm grows several potato varieties and specialty produce.
Conebella Farm specializes in farm fresh cheese and spreads, their artisan raw milk cheese is the result of generations of dedicated family dairy farming on the same 198-acre farm that has been in the Gable family since 1923. For over 90 years, we have nourished Southeastern PA families with top-quality milk and cheese.
Conebella Farm Cheese will be sampling and selling their farm fresh artisanal cheeses and preservative-free spreads.
Deerfoot Vineyards offers small batch wine from estate grown and locally sourced fruit. This year, Deerfoot is celebrating its 70th year in agriculture. As the next generation we intend to uphold our family traditions and maintain a working farm. Adding grapes and wine to the traditional crops is their personal twist to the family business. New this year: blueberries!
Noted local author Paul Druzba will offer his new book for sale, “Carsonia Park: Midway of Memories”, as well as his previous books on Neversink Mountain and Pendora Park. Also offered are old postcards of Reading/Berks.
I do slide presentations on topics of interest to local history buffs, including Neversink Mountain, Carsonia Park, Pendora Park, and the History of Postcards.

Gauker Farms is an 8th, 9th, and 10th generation Fleetwood family farm specializing in grain-fed beef. We raise holstein steers from our neighboring dairy farms, fed a grain mix from corn and soybeans raised on our 260 acre farm, hay from our farm, and are on pasture from spring through fall.
We retail ground beef, cubes, chipsteak, stir fry, steaks, roasts, burgers, hot dogs, sweet bologna, sausages (loose, breakfast links, and grillers), beef snack sticks and jerky. We also (sometimes) have ground buffalo from Jodi’s college roommate’s farm.
Gourmand is an artisan food truck, cafe, and culinary movement founded in Reading, Pennsylvania and expanding at a delicious pace. For foodies and fans of the genre, Gourmand is the find you’re fiending for!

Hoagland’s Farm is a family business in central Pa, on Rte 54 just south of Danville PA. We grow vegetables and fruits as well as hogs, lambs, and a laying flock of chickens. In addition, we have small grains- corn, oats, wheat, and barley- the ingredients in our bird feed. We strive for a wide variety in the fruit and vegetable marketing, beginning in the spring with asparagus, rhubarb, and strawberries, and ending the year with cole crops of broccoli, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, and kale. We offer a wide variety of pumpkins, gourds, fall squash, and other fall decorations beginning in September. Our pork, lamb, honey, bird feed, and brown eggs are available year round, but our produce follows the seasons. We can take credit-card payment starting this season. Welcome Kay Bryant Designs to our market! Ever since she was a young girl, Kay was always pushing a pedal of a sewing machine. It all started with her passion for fashion which lead her to making cute outfits for herself. It then turned into a small wedding dress business which gave Kay a couture edge. Home decor was another hobby she had because she could find inspiration in her own home. Kay’s primitive and decorative santas became staples at tradeshows and as that fell out of style she found a new passion: making things for women who needed something because it was functional.
Kay offers clothing, handbags, jewelry and other items designed in her own unique style. Stop by her booth say hello!
Laura grows about 80% of what she uses to produce her pickled vegetables and fruit, homemade mustards, and herb-infused vinegars. Organic practices are used to grow her produce and herbs used in her canned goods.

M & M CREEK VALLEY FARM
My name is Megan Kennedy, my husband Marty and I own and operate M&M Creek Valley Farm. We are a farrow to finish hog ranch located in Elverson, PA. Our hogs are all raised on pasture and are also able to forage in the woods that surround our farm. We feed non-gmo grains whenever possible and supplement our hogs with whey from a local goat cheese farm and well as nuts from the nut trees on our property in the fall.
We provide delicious pork cuts from chops & shoulder roasts to bacon & hams and everything in between! We also raise completely free range egg laying hens and provide our customers with beautiful omega rich eggs. You can see the difference in the color of our yolks!
We also run a pork CSA that is always available to jump in on, spring, summer, fall and even winter! We offer wholesale pork shares, whole hog, half hog & quarter hog, if you have the freezer space, the discount is worth buying in bulk! And new this season, roaster hogs for your backyard pig roast! Sheila produces preservative-free granola, crackers, and nuts in her PDA certified home-based bakery. Offered are 13 flavors of homemade granola, 6 varieties of crackers, whole plain nuts, 4 roasted nut mixes, and a punjabi party mix.

For Summer Market, Sheila will feature functional, and decorative pottery for home and garden. The home kitchen pieces will include baking dishes, serving bowls, batter bowls, mugs, soup bowls, berry bowls and colanders, garlic and herb keepers, olive oil bottles, spoon rests, utensil crocks, sponge holder, and liquid soap dispensers. Sheila also has a line of bathroom items. Toothbrush holders, soap dishes, Q-tip holders, cup holders, votive candle holders, and toilet brush holders. Garden items include, hanging planters, hanging bird bath / bird feeders, half-round wall planters, flower pots, lanterns, toad houses, and wind chimes. The stoneware pottery is food safe, microwavable, oven safe, dishwasher safe, and garden-worthy.
Owners Ross and Amy Peterson are committed to growing great food in a way that regenerates and heals the land. Using organic, non-GMO, open pollinated seeds, they sow and harvest using minimal tillage practices. No synthetic fertilizer or pesticides are used. Offered at market: a variety of greens including arugula, spinach, kale, swiss chard, asian greens, lettuce mixes, microgreens such as radish, beet, pea, and sunflower; salad turnips, radishes, carrots, onions, summer squash, tomatoes; flowers, and herbs.
At market on Saturday we will have lettuce mix, kale, and radishes. Come get your ingredients to make a farm fresh salad!
We also just transplanted all of our pepper plants! They are growing and strawberries are coming in!

A favorite local fruit farm, owners Stan and Christine Blankenbiller bring a wide variety of goods to our market. Look for strawberries, blueberries, peaches, plums, nectarines, pears, apples, sweet cider, summer punch, all kinds of pies, cakes, cookies; some deli items, such as soups and apple sauce; vegetables-onions, peppers, tomatoes, string beans, lima beans, red beets, squash, kale, zucchini, lettuce, pumpkins, flowers, garden plants, handing baskets, annuals and perennials, plus seasonal miscellaneous goodies.
THE SMITH HOMESTEAD
We are a small farm, or rather homestead, passionately growing fruit and vegetables with non gMO seeds and following organic practices. We also humanely raise livestock on pasture and in the woods for our meat and eggs. we are not certified organic, but follow all usda guidelines for it and follow more of a holistic approach and let nature guide us.

Owners Justin and Liz Lally opened So Good!! in March 2010 with the idea of establishing a place where they could cook their family’s recipes and enjoy the freedom to create new ones. Justin makes all of their soups in their market kitchen at the Fairgrounds Farmers Market fresh each week. Most of their ingredients come from local suppliers. They strive to provide our customers with soups that taste ‘just like their Mothers or Grandmothers use to make’ as well as introducing them to new and delicious tastes. Soups include Mema’s Chicken Corn Noodle, Buffalo Chicken Soup, Mrs. B’s Potato Sausage and Leek, and many more! They also offer fresh salads, wraps, and quiche.

Stoudts Wonderful Good Bread and Cheese is an 18 year old heritage bakery with a focus on traditional methods, fermentation, and locally sourced ingredients.
Using the finest local milk, our cheese is made in small batches and ripened in our own aging facilities.
Breads may include Ed’s famous Beer Bread, made from spring wheat, fresh milled barley, STOUDTS beer, water, levain, dried malt and sea salt; Sauerkraut Rye, a twist on a traditional German rye; Multi-grain; Organic Sourdough; and Rosemary Olive Boule.
